Things to consider when homeschooling a college-bound student: Early or dual enrollment: Many colleges across the country will accept early or dual enrollment for homeschooled high school students; this gives students an opportunity to begin college-level work prior to graduating high school, which makes them more attractive, as it shows concrete evidence of their ability to successfully complete college-level work. Some colleges will offer transferable credit for a class, while others will only allow class audits with a “pass/fail” status. Either experience can be very valuable to your student and will provide concrete evidence of achievement.
